Protect was formed In 1999 by the major mortgage insurers to provide the focused support for this sector of the general insurance market. By its nature the ABI can not specialise in one sector and it was useful to have a group whose major interest is mortgage insurance.
Protect aims to educate it members, provide a forum for debate and to lobby on behalf of its members where needed. It co-ordinates its members views and those of their clients and promotes these views to other relevant bodies.
